Certified Organic Spring Water is used in our products, drawn from the Ochil Hills not far from Comrie.

 

Glycerine E422

A natural carbohydrate alcohol which is one of the components of all fats, forming the backbone of triglycerides. Glycerine is commercially produced by the bacterial fermentation of sugars. The role of glycerine in our products is to aid moisture retention in the skin.

 

Vitamin E (tocopherol)

Vitamin E is used in our products to prevent oxidation (which makes the fats and oils go rancid) and to act as an antioxidant in the skin helping to counteract some of the effects of UV on the skin. Vitamin E will also help heal cracks and sores in the skin.

 

Xanthan gum E415

Xanthan gum is a natural polysaccharide produced by the bacterium Xanthomonas compestris through fermentation on sugar and molasses. It is used as a thickening agent in our gel.
