Alessia Aromatherapy was set up in 2009 by Susan Alexander to produce high quality, affordable, skin care products; harnessing the natural properties of plant derived ingredients and essential oils to the benefit of all customers.

Susan Alexander is a DPhil Biochemist with many years experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.  Since becoming a Clinical Aromatherapist she has developed the Alessia product formulations herself using her unique combination of knowledge and experience.  Susan ensures that she produces all her products to the highest standards, applying good manufacturing practices to all stages of the process.

The name of the company, Alessia, comes from the Greek verb meaning 'to defend, protect' and describes the quintessential role of all the products to protect the skin and to keep it healthy.

The company is based in the beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland.
